Denim

During college, I remember my roommates getting really interested in raw denim. I thought it was absurd that they would spend hundreds of dollars on “jeans.” Well, I still do, BUT I realized that it’s kind of admirable to want to see progression in something, even if it’s just clothes.
Being able to visualize a goal and working towards it is admirable. You know exactly what you want and when life throws you a curve ball, like crotch bust, you make changes and work around it. Eventually your vision of having stacks and whiskers or whatever becomes a finished product. And then you soak it all in, and watch the dirt and stank come out at the same time.
They’re all grown up
Tom Pan shared during homegroup today. Man, I can’t explain how blessed I was just to see him up there. Even when he prayed, I couldn’t help but smile and I admit, giggle a little.
Miles Militis, you guys are keeping it 100. Tear it up.
Sundays

Some things I was blessed by this past Sunday:
+ On Sophia’s offering envelope: “God is the best!”
+ 5th grader David giving the only dollar he had to Haiti, rounding out $144 to a cool and even $145.
+ The children raising $145 for Haiti relief.
+ Celebrating two of my students birthdays. They’re happy with anything ice cream.
+ One of my students asking us to pray that the people of Haiti will turn to God during these hard times (seriously, awesome).
+ Receiving a car full of shoes from HOC to donate to Haiti. HUGE response from a last minute notice. God bless you guys.
QT with cuties
These past few days have been great. Sure, it’s back to the grind of studying and such, but these past few days I have had the privilege to fellowship with brothers and sisters. And it was awesome.
Now it’s hermit mode time. Just kidding. If I can manage my time and studies well, it shouldn’t be a thang.
Adios fellas.
