I AM BLOG.

While trying to tie my tumblr account with my domain name, I managed to break every photo related link on my Wordpress blog. I’ve submitted a fix (hopefully), so things should be back to normal within 72 hours. If not, well, I’m screwed.

In other news, I’ve grown tired of blogging. I’ll try to be more consistent with a simpler approach. If you have a tumblr account, add me prease!

Justin has passed away and of course there is brokenness in my heart but underneath that deep bitter pain I feel a kind of sweetness. What is this sweetness? I believe it is the feeling of an unending love between a mother and a son. — Mrs. Chang

This is a documentary made by my roommate Dave in memory of Justin Chang. I didn’t know Justin very well and only met him on a few occasions, but Justin was the kind of guy where his reputation was known as “legendary.” I remember he IM’d me randomly once to talk about fantasy baseball. He wanted to take all the Red Sox players and it just so happened that I had a few. We had never met prior to that day.

Every time I see this film, especially when his parents talk about their son, it brings me to tears. Despite their loss they were so certain that Justin was taken under God’s sovereignty. That he lived a life that was made “alive in Christ.” He left a legacy that all people should want to leave when they pass on. Not because they tried to, but because they lived their lives as people who were madly in love with Christ.

Tear it up in heaven bro.

Jon and I were having a pretty deep conversation but he was in a rush cause he needed to get home. So we’re driving back to his car talking and I tell him, “Hey, you should get going cause there’s a car behind us.” He gets out of the car and looks at me with the door open and concludes with his final thoughts:

“Yeah, but what I’m saying is, we need to play WOW.”

No we were not talking about WOW, or anything that involved video games for that matter. Way to kill it Jon.

Today was everything, if that makes sense. It was good, bad, fun, annoying, stupid, sucky, uplifting, gloomy, sunny and all else in between. People were dumb. People were fantastic. It was a lot of good and a lot of bad, but it was neither in particular.

This might tip the scales towards the bad side, but I also had a nightmare that I couldn’t wake up from. I know this, because I was asleep for 9 hours but felt like crap in the morning.

Just yesterday I was telling our LIFE group that advertisements rarely worked on me but my goodness was I wrong. This one won me over in a second.
