Last lunch at Pippins

After picking up our cap and gowns, Garnet and I decided to eat at Pippins one last time. At the time, the idea seemed brilliant: DORM FOOD! FOR OLD TIMES SAKE! In retrospect, the food wasn’t that awesome.

If there’s one thing I’ll remember about dorm food, it’s probably going to be the consistency. Every Thursday, Pippins would serve french dip. And every Thursday, Jon and I would call each other and get really excited because Pippins was serving french dip. This was freshmen year. Yesterday was no exception.

All in all I had a good time. The camaraderie was worth it and free food is always good food. Thanks Wesley!

Reminiscing when I shouldn’t be

I’m at the library, getting my studies on, but when I’m stressed, I like to blog. I have a final in four hours, but man, I’ve been studying for four years. It’s OK to give in a little. So off the top of my head:

1. Watching my suite mate get run over by a girl on a bicycle. She straight up ran into him while going down a hill. Her brakes were broken.

2. Watching Josh get naked because he did well on his midterm and seeing Dave copy him–just for funsies.

3. Getting caught pooing in the dean’s bathroom. This was probably one of the most awkward moments of my life. And I’m sure it was his most awkward moment too.

4. Winning best photo for the first annual UCI Photolympics. Taking home best photo series for my last UCI Photolympics.

5. Late night fishing runs and not catching any fish.

6. Most epic San Diego trip with Woody. Nothing planned, but we had the world’s best and most spontaneous man date. Ever.

7. Realizing that I’m going to get owned by my physio final tonight because I’m writing this stupid entry.

7’s a Biblical number. Lets leave it at that.

Last prayer meeting…

For life! Just kidding! This morning was the last home group prayer meeting for the academic school year (and the last one for seniors!). It’s always encouraging to see people sacrifice a few hours of sleep in the morning to pray. Keep on trekking fellas.

These next couple of weeks will be a time of many “lasts.” Good thing that memories last forever. Just kidding. That was queso-y.

But when God closes a window… He opens a door.

Last core meeting… for life!

Today was a good day. We had a small BBQ and a good time at the pool. Irving got pushed into the jacuzzi and created a small scaled tidal wave which, luckily, missed my camera bag by just a few feet. Catherine on the other hand took it head on.

The most exciting part was to see John Chang and Wes step it up! It was seriously exciting to see them commit to the home group. Take care fellas.

After, we surprised Joey for her 19th birthday. Good times. College will soon be over. That makes me sad.

Sticky Fingers

A few of us went to Sticky Fingers to get some shaved ice on Monday. It was really hot and while eating the shaved ice was satisfying at the moment, the walk back to the car just made me hot again. For $3.75, it wasn’t too bad. It’s pretty much a giant snow cone and you can’t go wrong with snow cones on a hot day. The syrup even had bits and pieces of real fruit in it which was a nice touch.

Doesn’t Sarah look like a fish in this picture? Should have pulled the middle spoon out, but the heat impairs your judgement. Adios amigos y amigas.

There was a wait at Ajisen on Friday, so we utilized our time as best as we could. If Christine had Princess Leia’s hair buns, I think she could pass for an exact replica for that ramen figure… And while we’re talking about Star Wars, Big K could be Chewbacca.
