DIY Light Tent
Most product shots are done with either strobes, lamps, or some kind of light tent. You can make your own strobe/light tent kind of thing with an old cardboard box and some white paper. I tried it today and it works pretty well.
Things I didn’t think of, but should have done
- Rotate the box around to see which angle created the best catch lights.
- Locked in the exposure (but the clouds were moving… light changes!).
- Found a larger piece of cloth to create a seamless backdrop.

The setup:

With that being said, does anyone want to buy a Rodenstock 150mm Sironar-S lens? Will definitely cover a 4×5 with tons of movement and quite possibly a 5×7 with some movements! Comes with Copal 0 shutter with accurate shutter speeds. Everything is MINT!
B-sides?
I never posted this picture because of all the dead space up top. Came across it recently and I kinda like it. I miss my large format camera and spending countless hours in my stuffy bathroom developing film.
Can’t do it anymore because I’m afraid of paranormal activity. Hahaha just kidding?
Edit: I actually still have film I need to develop in my film holders! I might try my hand at it soon. I forgot how to develop film though :/
Diptych
Was looking through some old pictures and stumbled upon this one. I’m not sure why, but I really like this one. It’s actually inverted horizontally, but it only works this way.
I miss my large format camera. Oh, I miss the people in the pictures too. Not so much Josh. He owes me money. Hahahaha!
